Yes I burnt them in, not worried if it hurts the value I intend for it to always be in the family

My M91/30 Mosin is my favorite. So far it's the best birthday present I've gotten so far.

My favorite rifle is also not what most would consider, but it's all I ever got from granddad... It's a great rifle though. I love it! Enfield 1917 30-06

Dan, looks good! nothing wrong with that rifle. just not as common as some others, but a very good looking rifle you have, that belonged to your grandfather. enjoy it!

Thank you sir! I do enjoy it. And I guess I lied. Igot one other thing from him...
An S&W 18-4 "Combat Masterpiece". Not sure why you would take a .22lr into combat, but that's the nomenclature... And the here's a pic of some markings on the bolt lever... Looks like USMC to me!

good looking pistol. maybe a training pistol? don't have a clue as to why a 22lr pistol would be marked as such.

Ruger M77 .220 Swift, my old man had a gunsmith look at it for rechambering and he said its great if your into .22 caliber shotguns but the throat is 24" long! That old girl would still put 5 in 1 hole on a good day with perfect conditions.

mine would be close. Remmington 511P ro 788 in 308. The .22 was my first rifle and the 766 is the first centerfire I bought. Both still accurate and both get used.
