Nuthing wrong with a good ol 30/06, or a 7mm. Theres a thought now the magnificent 7mm, hard hittin long range caliber. Man I forgot how much I do like the 7mm. Im gonna take her out tomorrow to remember.

I think I have maybe seen over kill once a white tail deer if I'm correct being laid down by a 50 bmg

Well thats a good start bud, dont shy away from proven calibers like the 30/06 just becouse it dosent have a flashy name or number. Its old school at its best.

I have a winchester super grade model 70 that was my dads, it was my honey bee up untill he passed, so I just cant risk any damage to it so it sits the bench, but yes I was a big fan of the 7mm. Its one hell of a round.
