When. The question is when.

the military is still using the M700 in various configurations for a sniper rifle platform.
Curiosity, Where does the 721 fall in this group?

the M721, from what i have read were pretty good rifles. they had some very plain looking stocks and metal work, but the actions were the same basic design as the M700 and were the overall basis for the M700. the following model was the M725 which addressed some of those cosmetic issues and then evolved into the M700. the M700 was just the evolutionary phase of the M721 with much better wood stock material, with checkering, better metal work using better metal that looked nicer and much improved and adjustable trigger. even when the M700 came out, custom rifle makers were still using M721 actions for custom builds.
