Default What rifle is this?

My uncle gave me this rifle a couple of years ago. But i dont know what type it is. On the top it says "1952" and "bb3237"
Anyone know?

I third that. By the condition it looks to be in, I would have a gunsmith evaluate it before you take it out to shoot it. Just a precaution.

Jim's right dont try to fire any modern ammo through it until you have it looked at if you value your appendages

Might be one of the Chinese copies of the M44 considering the date of manufacture. I have a Chinese one myself.

I'd agree that it looks like an m44, with that date I'd guess either Polish or Hungarian. Does it have any other markings?? Like maybe an "11" inside an oval on the receiver, or a "02"???? I know my Mosin's pretty well, if you can get a few good pics of the receiver and barrel markings i can give you more information.
