So I got a call this morning right as one of our local gun stores was opening. We were having a S&W Shield transferred and it had arrived.
As my wife was filling out the paperwork I got bored and went to look at rifles. As I was looking at the m1a's I began asking a few questions and here is where I got into trouble.
They had just had someone bring in a m1 Garand and it was out being refinished as the previous owner had tried it and left the stock sticky to the touch. The owner turned the corner and told us that they had just got it back.
Great. Now what am I going to do? She's a beaut and I find myself filling out paperwork as my wife is wrapping up hers. In a matter of minutes, I have this to put in my car:

I haven't even had the chance to look into that. We were really pressed for time before I decided to get impulsive. I don't have a te gauge but will have to check back with them. The barrel looked good, but that doesn't tell much about the bore. They are a great bunch and I love doing business with them. I trust them with my business. He said it was a great shooter, which should be a good indicator. I will be gone this weekend and part of next week so I won't even get to let my anticipation wane for about a week.

I had in mind to spend roughly $1000 for a future purchase. This one was for $875.
