What gun jammed on VP Cheney?

"Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s gun malfunctioned before he could get a shot off at an antelope hunting contest in Wyoming on Sunday, according to a local ABC News affiliate.

“The Vice President is an excellent shot,” the captain of Cheney’s hunting team said. “He had a gun malfunction. But I think he is so excited and enjoyed this so much. He'll be back next year."

Cheney blamed “a small problem with the manufacturer.”

“I don't take it personally,” he said. “I'm sure there was a small problem with the manufacturer. But I will be back next year and I have enjoyed it, it's been fantastic. It's great to spend so much time with some fine folks.”

I'd hunt with him. It was an accident. I'm sure he is more careful now.

This is the same VP that shot a hunting partner a few years ago?

I am thinking I would not want to shoot around this guy.

After what he did a few years ago, I'm guessing the problem was his safety was on. :D

Former President . . er . .uh . . I mean Vice-President Cheney should have blamed his other infamous hunting accident on the manufacturer. He used the blame game very effectively during his term as Pres . . er . . uh . . I mean Vice-President.

I don't like this post. It disparages a conservative hunter and former VP.

Also I checked the feature where it says "I like this post" because I thought I could change it to say I don't like it.

When I saw his name, my first thought was "duck & cover! Cheney's got a gun!". It's a little more memorable than Quayle's "potatoe" incident; some old dude got peppered with bird shot, some in the FACE.

Heck, somebody probably gave him fake ammo in the name of public safety (not the deer).

Cheney was asked what he does right after he turns off the bedroom light: "I close the coffin lid"
