Default First Gun

My first gun was given to me by my favorite Uncle. It was an M16 and he gave it to me at Ft Knox in 1970, soon after I Enlisted.

An old dirty mossberg 600c. When I bought it I had to clean it twice. I love that gun.

My first gun was a derringer bought at a bootleggers place for $10.00 when I was 14.

Prior to purchasing firearms I was "lent" a M16 by the Army and Smith and Wesson model 64 by a large southwestern police department. My first purchased firearm in 22 caliber was a Smith and Wesson 422 pistol. My first center fire was a 2 and 1/2 inch Smith and Wesson model 66. I have purchased many more guns since then but none better than that old 66.

My first rifle was a Flobert .22 my father got me for my 7th or 8th B'day.
By the 1970's I got a RUGER 10/22 from a frend for real cheep and the GUN bug bit me.
I wish I still had the Flobert.

Iver Johnson 22 Rifle when I was 12. All I can remember about it, was that it was Magazine Tube fed under the Barrel, and held 16 Rounds, IIRC.

My buddy had a Ruger 10/22 with a scope, and I always liked shooting his better.

Cheers!

BB

well, if ya wanna go way back, it was the red ryder.

about 9-10ish, my old man let me use the bolt action 22 (still not sure of make).

in college, i bought my first real gun by myself, a true classic. the berreta 92 9MM. sold it a few years back and got 75% of what i paid for it. kinda miss it.....

My mom bought a Remington mod 241 for my dad in the late 30's. I first shot it in 1951 when I was 5 years old. My dad gave it to my brother when he turned 16 (he was 9 years older than I was). He in turn gave it to me when I hit 16 in 1962. I still have it 50 years after it was given to me. My dad and brother no longer need firearms where they are now.
