DefaultWhat to do with the tax return

Looking into getting a weatherby vanguard in a .338 win mag sometime this year no matter but do I want to buy one with part of my tax return or to buy a new leupold mark AR 4-12x40 mil dot for my AR. Any ideas?

Pardon me..do you have any reason why you'd go with the optic particularly?

Buy whatever you think you will want to use more often.

I'm going to get all the parts I need to build a 458 SOCOM Bolt Action with my refund.
A new Action,Bolt,McGowen barrel,Stock,etc..

Well, i would think the AR would get more use in the non-hunting or less-hunting part of the year we are approaching. If you would use the .338 for target practice rather than hunting, then it might be fun for the summer too.

I also think that if you are shooting a projectile in the .22 caliber range, you want to make very precise shots to get the job done, regardless of your target (except balloons).

I haven't had an income tax refund in years. I have always had to pay in. I retired last year. My gross income went way down. I was very surprised to find that this year I am going to get a refund. I guess that I am now in a different tax bracket. Anyway, I am going to buy a Marlin XL7 in .25-06 with some of it and the rest will go in my savings account.
Spend your money wisely my friend, but please, do buy what you want.

I'd get a Trijicon ACOG for your AR. (I have three of them on my three ARs. )

Haha if only. I wish I could, but my refund isn't that big of one. The reason I chose these two are because thanks to my job, I get 50% off leupold and like 35 or so off of weatherby which is what I was gonna get the .338 in was a vanguard

If you get a discount on Leupold, then by all means get one. But if it's going on an AR, take a hard look at the 1.5-6 instead of a higher power. I think you'll find that at 1.5 power, target acquisition is lightning fast on those close up shots, and at 6X you'll have more than adequate power for longer ranges.
