what did i get ?
i got a marlin from a bud a week ago but don't know much about it its a 35. payed 125. anyone have one

Marlin 336. Lever action. Most were in .30-30 but some were in .35 Remington (that may be the 35 you were referring to in your original post). .35 Rem is a very good caliber but getting hard to find. You likely won't find ammo in EVERY mom and pop store.
If is has no "S" after the 336 it is older w/o the cross bolt safety.
Good gun, good price, good find.

If it's in fairly good condition, the bore is good and it functions well, $125. is a steal. Good luck with it and post some pictures if you're able.

It looks awfully good from what I can see. Clean it, lube it and put some ammo through it. Then give us a range report.
As far as I can tell, ya' dun good.

You got a sweetheart of a dear rifle. Better learn to reload for it or .35 Rem ammo $ will keep you from shooting it as much as it deserves.
