Guys I've got a Remington 700 short action and plan to buy a barrel for it this winter as a start for a varmint/target rifle. I want something capable of good accuracy at long range, maybe 600 yards. I am leaning towards a .260 or maybe even a .308. I know the .308 is on the big end for coyotes but I have a Sako Vixen in .222 that works good.
What's your thoughts on this. Thanks!
