Where are you getting your information? At what muzzle velocity and bullet weight are you talking about? A .30-30 may have this kind of rainbow trajectory, but the .308 shoots much flatter than that. It is often used in 1000 yard competitive matches.

308. Win is the only 308. Or if you like 7.62/51 thats what the snipers use all over the world

so how about the Army and the Marine Corps using the 308 as a sniper round for over forty years at three time that range? you need to some research into ballistics and get some real information before posting such ill informed so called "knowledge" on here. i personally have and have seen the 308 go way further with plenty of power to kill at yardage above 300!

I agree the 308. Is battle proven by more than one country
