The scope that came on my .223 Axis was a Bushnell. I'm sure bottom of their lineup but adequate for what I do with the gun. I got the package deal for $279 so a bare rifle would have cost the same. Even if I upgrade the scope down the road, I basically have a free 3x9-40 to throw on a rimfire.
