Default werid old rifle Value

I came across this old rifle about 30 years ago it has more or less been hanging onthe wall here since does anyone have any idea what this is worth...thank you

You have a French WW I rifle called a Berthier. This is a carbine model, fires a cartridge 8x50R or more commonly known as an 8mm Lebel. You can do a search online and find more imformation. Value of these carbines SEEMS to be @ $300.
