I got suckered into an x7 by my brother in law that is high up at marlin an damn if It didnt meet my every want, accurate, crisp adjustable trigger with no creep,an a good fit no crap cornes. It delivers fully an its verry well priced

I fully agree tho savage is a high quality gun vs cost also an yes marlins micro groove rimfires are some of the best imho

i have shot the savages, pretty accurate, but i like the way the marlin fits me when i shoulder it. ergonomics plays a big part in the accuracy of a firearm and no matter how accurate it is, if it doesn't fit you, you will have a harder time getting it to shoot good for you. one of my favorites was the older ruger M77's. to me they fit well and were very accurate. i owned several years ago and wish i had them back. i had a couple of weatherby's, but just was not happy with the way they felt either and weatherby makes very accurate and beautiful rifles. i might check out the new vanguards to see if they fit me better than the older ones did.

I just purchased two new hunting rifles-one was the new weatherby Vanguard S2. Weatherby says it will shoot 1 MOA right out of the box. After taking it to the range this New Years weekend, I would have to say mine lived up to it. Bought it in .308 and it did kick a little more than I was expecting, but this was my first synthetic stocked rifle so that could have made some difference.
The other new rifle was a Mossberg 4X4 in 7mm Rem Mag. I fully expected the Weatherby to shoot well, but was really surprised at the Mossberg. It out shot the Weatherby hands down, and with the factory muzzle break on it the recoil was much less than the .308 Weatherby. I really like both rifles but the Mossberg was a definite good choice.

Sweet man 2 new guns right on an the mossberg has always been just good ol guns, nothin fancy just guns that shoot well an are built well.
