Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 1 |  ward western field tube fed 22??I've only seen The number N(C or 6)4 A22 SLLR where is the model numbers on these rifles and is this enough info to determine it's manufacture date? |

Moderator   Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Texas Posts: 3,047 | If there is no serial number (and no evidence of ever having one) it is likely pre-68. Serial numbers were not required pre-68. IIRC these were savage/springfield made for Montgomery Wards. Western Field was Wards "trade name" for guns. This was similar to Sears and the "Ted Williams" brand.
