Default trade mosin nagant for Rem 7400?

I'm thinking about trading my mosin nagant 91/30 for a Remington 4700 30-06 to use as a deer gun. I've herd good and bad about the 4700 any thoughts?

It is a 7400. They are good guns. Not great, but good. I have a 7400 Carbine and a 740 rifle (slightly older design). They work, but are not made to be shot thousands of times. For a deer rifle, they are fine.

Tacticool accessories available including stocks, high cap mags, etc. Accuracy Systems does some pretty cool things with them.

You mean a 7400? Not a bad gun but not impressively accurate. Make sure to clean it really well and keep it so. Go by the intro section and tell us a bit about yourself

My BIL has one in 30-06 and I have shot MOA with it using my handloads, which suprised me. I think they are decent guns. I would trade a Mosin for it. Not a carbine but definately a 91/30.

Is the Remington a pump rifle? If it is I wouldn't trade a mosin for it

Your thinking of the 760 woodmaster. Now why do you think a mosin is a better rifle than an American icon???

Look at it this way your trading a 120 milsurp for a pretty good around classic rifle you won't find under 350 dollars if anything trade get the 7400 then go buy another mosin and be a happy with TWO new guns to in enjoy at the range

Trade , trade trade. You can buy another cheap average moslin for way less money. Meet the guy at the range and fire a few rounds from both.
