1 Attachment(s)
have this problem on all of my fired cases. small dent at the top of the brass.
Any ideas? Is this normal?

Sh!t will buff out. LOL. Probably where its striking the ground. In any case I think your fine. It cycles properly? No FTF issues?

Just a side note. I noticed this is your first post. Could you go to the introduction section and tell us a little about yourself. Thanks in advance..:D

It does cycle normally. I am confused because it has to happen in the chamber somehow. It will happen even if I use brand new case no bullet just insert and eject, dent is present. If I insert really slow and eject sloooowww than dent is not there.
And yes I will go to the introduction section. :)

Not sure what the prob could be but we have plenty of knowledgeable guys here to help.

That is caused by the brass contacting something. I am going to say you have a nice good stiff ejector spring and as it comes from the chamber to the action it is smacking the action and the brass is hot after being fired and it gives a little dent. No biggie the expander ball on any reloading die with take care of it for you....

Like Tango said,It's just the extractor causing the dented case.

Nothing to worry about.
The next time you shoot it,open the bolt very slow, and see if the case is dented. Most of the time it won't be,but when you pull the bolt back faster the case will get slammed into the side of the chamber wall by the extractor and dent the case.
