I am looking at buying a Savage Model 12 (bolt action) that has the cheesy plastic stock on it. I would replace that with a laminate stock and would like to get a thumbhole stock but I am not certain if that is legal here in CA. I think it is (this is not in any way an "assault rifle"). Anybody know for sure?
