Default Thoughts on Remington (baikal) rifle

Just purchased a new Remington Single shot 308 (russian baikal). Anyone got one and what do you think about it? Got a good deal so not expecting perfection, just dependable and fairly accurate out to about 150 yds.

I'm not familiar with them and haven't had 1 to play with so you can do a range report on it for us when you try it out. By the way-welcome to the forum from Marion co and what part of Ky are you from?

I have one in 222 which, while it is a bit crude, is quite accurate (5 shot groups around 3/4 inch at 100 yd). The trigger was a bit rugged as it came and took some work to improve. All in all, I think it's a decent rifle for the money. GD
