Default Thinking about buying a Mosin-Nagant

I was thinking about getting a Mosin-Nagant for my birthday and was wondering what model is the cheapest?

91/30. Available just about anywhere for around $100 with the bayonet, sling, oil bottle and ammo pouch. For an extra $80 you get get a "spam can" of 440rds.

No problem... of course you can always get the nagant pistol for about the same price.

I would but I live in PRK and don't have a C&R or a pistol license.

If you live in the Smyrna, GA area you can buy a 91/30 and M44 or $140 that includes bayonet, oil canister, ammunition pouch, the rifle. Stripper clips would be a major convenience, they're maybe $5 a pack of 5.

Unfortunately I live in California and don't have the luxury of good gun prices.
