Thanks to Mosin & Enfield nuts!
All you folks drove me crazy with your Mosin and Enfield posts. I did not need another firearm. So to test myself I went to a gun show in Kankakee, IL today. I failed the test and got an Enfield No.4 MK2 made in Fazakerly near Liverpool UK. Made around 1949 and in real good shape. Ordered some 174gr ammo, which is backordered till Jan.
Thankfully the Mosins were in poor shape!
I was fine until you bastiges did this to me

I don't see any pictures!
But it's just as well that you didn't post pictures. I'm already jealous. I've got a No1 MkIII* and a No4 MkI. I really really want a No4 MkII.

Soon! I have to go back tomorrow and pick it up. 24 hour waiting period for long guns in the wonderful state of IL. if I was in FL I would have walked out with it. Been watching youtube videos on it, looking in the reload book, just what you do when you have a sickness.

Couple of pics. Just got it home and need to clean it. Then order some clips, a spare mag, and maybe a spike bayonet. I was surprised that as a military rifle it has a brass butt plate.
