Since the idiots are so concerned about non-performance-affecting cosmetic attributes of "assault rifles," perhaps someone could come up with an extended follower that fits a 30 round mag, (temporarily) limiting it to 10 rounds ... so the (proposed) high-capacity magazine limits are met, but the firearm still looks exactly the same.

I think it would piss 'em off. Maybe put some fuzzy dice on the bayonet lug too. OR, maybe just come up with some interesting color schemes ... like this (borrowed from toolmonger.com :

I just drill a hole through a surplus mag and jb weld a long bolt through the mag. Cheaper and makes it permanently 5 rounds.
