For me, after about 60 rounds it starts to get a bit tedious. Then you just start to shake and it sucks...

I'm of average build, I'm not saying you are a pu**y but you may not know proper stance or placement of the butt, or maybe you have little experience shooting a rifle of comparable power. Not trying to be derogative but I've shot 30/30s with more boot. Relatively speaking most people that shoot a lot will agree the Mosin does not have excessive recoil.

It's that metal butt plate that gets to you after shooting for a while

I haven't read through this thread. I will later.

For now, my response is in bolditalicsunderlined above. What more "talking" do you need???

go to youtube and look at teh nutnfancy videos on the mosin. One titeled "Mosin-Nagant the $100 .30-06" and another couple "Arctic ops" and the "Sledge hammer drill", should give you an idea of how a Mosin can be entertaining without a whole lot of investment.

I love my nagant rifles. They get a bit heavy after carring them all day but there cheap all round. Exept the remakes of the scopes... Then it gets interesting. The M44s are very loud but are accurate. The only draw backs (aside from the odvious) is the way the bolt is.

Nagants are pistols, Mosins are Rifles
