Default tac light position

Just wondering everyones thoughts on tac light position? I recently heard the theory that having it on the right actually off blances your weapon. Since this is where I always had mine located I was curious of your opinions

i always had my surefire attached to the left for easier access to functions

I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.

I have a trl-1 mounted to i left; easy reach of my thumb, while still having full control of my rifle with both hands.
