Default Additional 425's

New to forum. I was the one who purchased the 30 Rem #5162. I also have a 35 Rem #4190. A close friend has a 32 Rem #2640 & a 35 Rem #3587. Hope these add to your database.

Thanks, we have added your rifle to our list. .25 Rem is a scarce caliber for the Stevens 425 High Power, as so far only 24 guns are known in this caliber.

I just picked up another 425 for my collection. It is #4824 in .30 Rem. I haven't received it yet, but I'm told it's in good condition. That makes 3 rifles and one saddle ring carbine. I think I'll stop now!

Starman1, thanks for the serial number and caliber for the Stevens 425-430. We have located very few of the more deluxe 425 models (the 430). What makes this a parts gun?

We now have 197 Stevens High Power rifles and one Stevens High Power Saddle Ring Carbine (425-C) on our list.

Would anyone care to venture an educated guess as to the survival percentage for a quality hunting rifle at least 96 years old? 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%? I don't think quality hunting rifles get thrown away, even if the stock breaks or the bore gets worn out. I'd like to get some thoughts about this...
