Default steel case?
What's the deal? Why was I told not to shoot steel case through my 1911, but my AK, Sig, anything else is ok? I'm confused. Is steel not good for my breech?

Some shooter believe that the steel cases are difficult to extract from the chamber. This is thought to cause failure of the 1911 extractor.I have shot hundreds thru a Series 70 Gold Cup and never had a problem.

It's likely that by the time it actually causes a problem (if ever) that the cost savings will have paid for about 3 new extractors anyway.

My Springfield 1911A1 eats steel case Tula just fine...
