Well i did a little polishing on the trapdoor and i noticed right behind the rear sight it says US MODEL 1884. It is VERY hard to see but it is there. Are the 1884 models worth anything?

1873's and 1884's don't vary much in price. If you have an interest in old guns just keep it. If you don't then sell it. Its only worth about the same as a SKS. I know which one I would rather have.
