I was using factory ammo. Hornady w/ the red tip (I forget the designation but I do know it was marked "match" ammo.)
I know part of the felt recoil was due to the 16 inch barrel. Even the finely designed muzzle break can only do do much... But there seemed to be a noticed difference between the match loads and the mil-surp as far as recoil. I'm wondering a) if it's just me. And b) what you folks use with success...
If it is more orange tip I think it is A-Max. What weight bullet? I like the 168 gr. and just loaded some 178 gr.
