it is basicaly a Century arms build useing a Federal arms receiver left over from when century took over the company, it has an aluminum receiver with a built in weaver type scope mount and a pinned barrel. I believe the current cenury cetme's have a stamped receiver and pressed barrel, so most likely any cetme you purchase in the U.S. will be built on a century receiver, and they are pretty cheap, only $500 to $700. any reason you cant just hop down to Spain and get one right from the source? it would most likelky be much better quality than the one's here in the U.S.

Plenty of them about like most guns but not legally, and Spanish gun laws are tight, I am not likely to find one in France. I might have to look at other options I prefer the rifle to be standard issue if at all possible. I had a H&K G3 in semi-auto a few years ago but lost it to the UK gunlaws, it's likely a sewer grid somewhere now....thanks anyway.........

Springfield armory makes a model called SAR 8, Springfield contracted a company in Greece called Helinic Arms to build the SAR 8 for them and from what I have read Hellenic actualy uses H&K tooling and are under H&K supervision, the average cost looks to be about $2,000. this shuold be a very high qaulity firearm.

I looks like this was posted awhile ago and I hope you were able to get your Cetme. I seems that now you are able to find them easily at the local gun shop. I purchased mine about 2 yrs ago and love shooting it.
