Solvent or lube?

I'm trying to figure out which should I use to clean my '45 k98 with, solvent or lube?
Or barrel will solvent and reciever with lube?

only use solvent inside the barrel to remove copper deposits. breakfree clp does an excellent job of removing carbon and dirt everywhere else. a lightly covered clp patch will remove solvent from the barrel followed by a dry patch or two to remove excess clp.

this is the basic for any rifle shotgun or handgun.
