Thanks, that seems to be the general response, I will be looking into it.

How about .30-06 at $.50 a round. Try here.
http://www.thecmp.org/Sales/ammo.htm#Atomic
Or some match grade .223 for way less than $1 a round.
http://www.dsarms.com/Black-Hills-223-Rem-Match-Moly-Coated-68-Grain-Heavy-Match-----22368/productinfo/22368/
Not to mention some 9mm Lugar

The only reason I say almost no ammo I can't find is I can't find any .22lr at anywhere near a reasonable price.
That's not Luger is it

Went to the Signal Hill Turners this morning.
Wow.
I would say less than 2 dozen hand guns.
A few rifles.
Bunch of shotguns.
The ammo. table,
almost bare.
Salesman said maybe,
6 months,
maybe.

Walmart had 2 boxes of 40s&w, some 22mag, and probably 40 boxes of assorted rifle ammo from 270 up to 7mm mag.

I saw something interesting today. An old time hardware store where I live sells ammo and accessories. They were sold out of most popular calibers. They did have lots of 30-30, 300 mag, 44mag, and 45 lc. They had one box of Remington 38 spcl they wanted $48. Only wanted $30 for same brand 240 gr 44 mag. I left the 38s picked up some 44s and 30-30s.

Some ammo remaining!

This is not letting up, scary part is Sportsman's Warehouse - this past week they got a very light shipment and the crowd was massive before the store was even opened. Prices are the same, no price hikes; but, selection is slim to none on the pistol (44 mag, .32, 45 LC), rifle ammo (.270, 30-30, 300), no 30-06. Large amount of 12 gauge, 20 gauge and .410 ammo.

Word I am getting from LGS is that the foreign ammo is being held back or even seized at the port. The only foreign ammo, is what is in circulation.

Yesterday at WallyWorld bought 300 .223 and 300 9mm. I guess I just got lucky. Will actually feel comfortable going to the range this weekend.

The 3 local walmarts here only had boxes of 10mm. I guess nobody in the area shoots 10mm
