I went to 3 gun shops in Greensboro today, one had some 223 for $10 a box, but one had 9mm, $40 for 100. The prices and availability are completely different even between stores within a few miles from each other.

Just got back from Nevada, went to 3 gun stores and no .22 ammo. Most ammo shelves were empty, just like California.

Not in my town. When they get any ammo in at all, they put it by the cashiers and it is gone immediately. Customers are only allowed one box per visit. Walmart across the street hasn't had .40, .22lr, or 9mm for weeks.

Finally gave up on .22 LR, traded that in and picked up a S&W M&P15 sport. .233 ammo is everywhere now, price is still a little high. .40 ammo sells quickly, but not impossible, 9mm is very scarce, and up to 27$ for a box of 50 when you can get it.

I have noticed that things have loosened up here in Iowa. Thirty miles from home in Iowa city, there is more ammo on the shelves. Not everything that everybody could ask for, but they have primers, small pistol on up, and not the European brands that they did have in to fill the gaps. And they have more different types of reloading powders, and black powder. But the prices do bight a little more than before. I think that they will be this way a while until the supplies are back, and the buying gets normal. One thing that I have noticed was there was not one rimfire ammunition available locally. The prices on Mosin were up, and they were crappy model 53's. The gun racks were full.
