Our walmart is the same way here in Modesto CA. It's rediculous.

Got lucky yesterday - stopped in at Academy Sports in Madison, TN and picked up a 100 rd box of CCI .22lr - for $7.49. Only 1 box per customer allowed. Nothing else I wanted was in stock.

Just spent an hour at a Wal mart 30 minutes away waiting for two employees to complete their "dating game" with a chick buying lettuce at the gun counter so they could confirm to a crowd that had grown to 8 that no ammo arrived on the truck...

Sorry, sorry, sad state of affairs!

Did not do the Sportsman's Warehouse run today, too busy with errands. If it was a big truck, the parking lot would have been packed after 1100 in the morning, not much traffic from driving pass.

Just read an article from hornady and other manufacturer's. Says that they are catching up now, have increased production on common calibres, and are focusing sales to the civilian market. They also haven't changed their prices to distributors. So, all these super elevated prices are made up by the sellers themselves....which is obviously due to supply and demand.....which also sucks. I'm hoarding all my ammo for now. No trips to the range till this dies down.

The local gun store here had federal .223 for $88 per 100 rounds. Thousands of rounds sold out in a matter of hours. I almost cried shooting some .223 and .357 magnum at the range when I realized that trip cost me $200 in ammo and I was only there for 45 minutes.
Looking at crossing a great river, a cat does not stop to lick himself first.

This is not a time to plink, target shoot, terrorize cans in a ditch, and the like. In a way, the child has grown up, and it is time to prepare for the unthinkable. That is what our gov is doing. Ordering all that ammo, automatic 308 rifles and army tanks fir tsa employees.

Do what you can, join forces with neighbors, and your local neighborhood watch program, is now a neighborhood militia.

The frankonia hunting store in Bexbach is selling Russian made 9mm steel casing ammo for 9€ a box! I bought 500 rounds for 90€. Oh, .40 cal is selling for 15€ a box for range ammo. Sweeeet. Plus, the shelves are full in all rounds.
Rifles:
HK MR 223 and 308 in stock
HK MR precision 223 in stock
Sig patrol and desert patrol in stock
HK SL8 in stock
I saw a Colt ar15 in 22 also. No 223 though.

Sad times when a country with strict gun control is better stocked then the US, and cheaper.

Exactly what reliable source do you have indicating that government agencies are purchasing anything above their normal levels of munitions and arms? And remember I want reliable and verifiable sources, (as in plural and not affiliated with each other), not one source under multiple sight names.

I think it is time you scare mongers get called on your stupid rhetoric.
