Default Sniper Rifle Project

started this sniper project about 6 wks ago..started with a VZ24 Czech mauser (from SOG). It was ROUGH!!! lots of pitting on outside surface metal, dark bore (rifling OK), stock had 3 cracks and steel butt plate was probably used as a hammer! Action nice and tight/smooth. Rifle is 7x57mm w/turned down bolt.
Got an ATI stock, BSA scope w/Weaver mounts/rings, UTG bipod & Allen sling. Used Brownells Aluma Hyde II in 3 colors (dark earth, OD grn, desert tan, clear matte) on stock, bolt, cheek rest, trigger group, bbled action)..gonna cloth camo the scope. Will try and post pics when I'm done!

OK, but perhaps some of the membership would like to see the project. Who knows, your expertice may inspire someone!

BTW - I think this will make a great restoration thread.

"Pics or it didn't happen." Is a standard phrase around here for: "How about posting some pictures?"
