Sure, but do not let stock cool before you get paper towels off and wipe it down- they WILL glue in place.

BTW, ever need to get candle wax out of carpet? Lay brown paper grocery bag over wax, iron with electric iron on cotton setting. Keep shifting bag to clean spot until wax is gone. Same principle.

I would love to see a pic of the receiver. The Russians never used oil (looks like brown stain) on there stocks. The Finns did. When they captured a 91/30 it would be Finn'ed. Here is a pic of a Finn 91/30. The receiver would be SA stamped.
