sks vs Draco pistol

So I am about to come across with money to buy an AK pistol I have wanted one for a really long time to build an sbr. Of course after I get a stamp. I believe the current wait time is about a year on stamps.

I have a extra stripped lower I have been meaning to build (ar) I have

Attachment 97190

recently taken a interest on sks they seem to be more accurate then ak47 just as reliable and a portion of the price.

So I could buy a AK pistol
Or
Sks and finish my lower

I also plan on moving with in the next year or so out of state.
I think I would have to wait til I move to try to get my stamp

You need a stamp?

If he wants to put a stock on it, then he needs a tax stamp to turn it into a short barreled rifle. If a stock goes on it before getting the stamp it gets pretty expensive in fines plus the prison time.

The longer sight radius of the SKS would definitely lend itself to better accuracy than a pistol. But you cannot make a SKS as short and handy. So it depends on what characteristic is more important.

If you are moving out of state I would definitely wait on the SBR conversion. You will need to verify the laws if the state that you move into. Moving an SBR into another state requires a notification to the ATF. So, I'd keep it simple and just do it once if that is the way you decide to go.

Looks interesting. Seems like it may make mag changes and charging even more awkward, though.

Nice looking firearm, sadly I couldn't use it since I shoot left handed and I'm not too keen on having hot empties stuffed in my ear! ;)
