So pretty close to 10 years ago, my dad traded a Ruger mark II .22 and a few hundred big ones for a sks. Just recently I have been fixing/sighting all his guns. I fixed the carrier lever on a 1960's Remington Sportsman 58, and now I'm gonna sight his sks. Thats right he's had this gun for about 10 yrs and i don't think he's ever shot it. I looked at it a few days ago, and the front sight is WAYY right. I just ordered the front sight tool from midway usa, and i was wondering if i should also order the front elevation tool too?

On my CETME and several others, the front sight post is threaded in. That is used for elevation and once it is at then the side to side is adjusted. A set screw is then used to keep it in place.
