I use both for targets and hunting. Depends what I'm doing that day. I do prefer to have both on my scoped rifles just in case. I love shooting irons.

I prefer scopes or red dots. I can't see iron sights worth a darn. Gonna have to break down and glasses one day. But I'll stick with my Walmart readers as long as I can.

It depends on what I'm shooting. If its a rifle I like a scope mainly because I like to see just how far I can stay accurate. I guess I'm still kind of one of those people who would like to be able to match snipers shot for shot, even though I know I have no chance of getting to their skill level. Anything else though is iron sights obviously. Don't see the point on a scope on anything else.

I personally like irons with green rear and red front.

They are factory sights, but after using them I love them.

First pic: rear
Second: front
Third: aimed down
Fourth: both with my barrel mounted laser on.

I like optics personally.
Iron sights are fun at the rang, but I have a squirrel or a deer at 50 to 300 yards, I want only one single solitary spot punching shot.

Just sight in your irons real good, and use a laser as a point of reference, they make lasers that you can put in your barrel so you don't run the risk of messing up when you are zeroing them in.
