It is a good firearm as are most all Sigs. The only real drawback is it's inability to exchange parts like the AR platform. That's one thing that AR's are known for is the versatility. The Sig 556 is a stand alone gun.

I'm in the same boat iv been looking at the swat patrol in the ways it's not like and ar pro. very well made ak 2.0 if you want to call it eazy to maintain and not an ar con. A little more expensive no after market internal parts but the way its made no need to change what you have and little on the heavy side if you want something light and something you can dress up this gun is not for you
