Why dont you sell the Sig Mosquito and keep the AR? That would be a wise choice. If you really just do not like the AR platform I urge you to get a Kel-Tec SU16 or an SKS.

I will say this, Any firearm being more durable/reliable than an AR is questionable.

5.7 pounds, a little over six loaded. Extra mag storage is nice to have as well. I payed $600 otd for mine, so the price wont break the bank. Ohh and the barrel is threaded so you can mount a muzzle break or can if you want.

I don't know why anyone would want to get rid of their AR for any reason...
Hell I don't even own one.
But I would say a Mini 14, Mini 30, AK-47, or AK-74. For a SHTF rifle I most definitely would not buy a 22. Yeah it can feed your family. But think about how many rounds its gonna take to put someone down if your in danger, and think about about how many times you will have to reload a lever action 22 and how long it will take each time.

Sell the AR and get what satifies you. Then buy a 22.
If you sell the AR and buy a different assault rifle you might even have enough dough left to buy a 22 also.
