Shopping for a long rifle. Guidance applauded.

Hello all,

I am lookin to buy a new rifle.. Been doing alot of research, but I do have a few questions as well as advice.

I have been looking into a DPMS SASS or REPR (308) along with a Leupold Mark 4 4.5 15x50mm Scope, does that sound decent?

Also, I have found different rifles that resemble these other 2 but I dont know the pros and cons between all of them. If you know more about these weapons please enlighten me. So with that said, whats the diff between...

What exactly is it that you would like to do with this rifle? A few details about what you want to use it for may help us taylor a response better. What are you planning on shooting at? What distances? Ect?

The PTR is a fairly different mechanical operating system if i recall correctly. The DPMS is similar to a bulked up AR15. A buddy has one of their lower priced model AR15's in .223 & has been very happy with it.

Hey Hot Sauce, good to see you around. :)
