Shipping a Yugo M70ab2 to CA?

I'm selling my Yugo M70ab2 on GB. One of the guys interested lives in California. It has all the evil features on it. He wants to know if I could ship it to an FFL there, and then he'd have a gunsmith work on it to make it CA legal. I don't think so, but I really don't know. Do you guys know if that's legit?

It does not work that way. It needs to be compliant to enter CA.

Did he say he would install a bullet button?

That's what I figured. He didn't say what modifications that he'd make. The bullet button was the first thing that came to mind. Thanks.

A California 01 Dealer FFL can possess things that cannot be SOLD in CA- they have the option of selling to another FFL in another state.

They need to have the CA "Assualt Weapon" permit to handle "AW's", but I think that is for handling transfers for LE Agencies, and for shipping out of state. I don't know if they can receive what is considered an "AW" in CA from out of state.

The easy fix would be to have the bullet button sent to the Seller and have him install it prior to shipping.
