The best hat, in any caliber, is one that fits your head. Please don't wear it cocked off to one side, looks silly to us old codgers. Lol

(Serious answer, for me was a DPMS in 308. Box stores have them for a little over a grand. I love mine. )

I got mine, including high power scope, in a trade for a Winchester. I have many Winchesters, so I picked one out I did not think I would miss too bad, and traded my rifle, for his DPMS and a thousands rounds of ammo.

I had $200 in the Winchester. I came out ok. The scope I got was worth more than the $200 I have in the deal. I added a collapsible stock, and got that money back and then some, by selling the stock stock, on eBay. My investment is now about $180.

Largest gun in my collection, is pictured with my smallest gun.

Good trade there AR10...I've had a DPMS LR308 AP4 Carbine for nearly 10 years now,it hasn't given me a bit of a problem and is a very accurate rifle.

My question, what type of gun is next to your 308?

There were some Garands that the Navy had rebarreled for 7.62x51 NATO. Not as common as the '06 versions, but they are out there.

The best .308 is the one that fits your body and needs.

Not the one that people on internet forums tell you is best. And not the one that looks the most tacticool.
