Scope rings for Bushnell-10/22 combo
Wasn't too sure where to put this since it includes a .22 and an AR so I just put her in the general section. Mods feel free to move it if it's in the wrong spot.
So here I have a purty bushnell 3 x 9 x 40 trophy scope and I'm trying to figure out what to put her on. I have a Ruger 10/22 and an AR. The AR already has a Vortex Red dot on it that I enjoy, though I am curious what it would be like to scope her. So I am pretty sure that I am going to put it on the 10/22.
So I'll be needing some scope rings for her. Any suggestions or favorites? I am looking around ohhhh the top of my budget is near around the $100 mark. but anything lower and still quality is deffinently welcome.
another question, are there any scope rings out there that would allow me to go from the weaver style of my 10/22 (I am pretty sure that's what it is, correct me if I am wrong) to the picatinny of my AR? and lastly this is kinda random but where do you all put the red dots on your ARs? is it personal preferance or is there a science behind it? Right now I have it positioned on the front end of my A3 receiver (I'll post pics). Is there a better place? why? sorry I know this is kinda two threads but I don't wanna take up more space if these are easily answered questions.

I personally like Burris Signature Zee rings, and anymore they are all I buy. You can find them on the net for around $50.
Weaver style rings will fit on a Picatinny rail, but if you are planning on swapping the scope from a 10/22 to a flattop AR,you're going to have a problem with the height of the rings, plus you would have to rezero the scope each time you switched it.
IMO,just save your money for another scope/rings for the AR.

I use these on my 10-22. I used them with a weaver base first, now I have a 20moa picatinney mount on it and the rings worked fine on both.

If the cross slots on your weaver base are spaced the same on your ar you could interchange back and forth between both without having to move a ring on the scope.
