1 in and 1 in tall. Sorry bout that. I seen someone say take the shim out of the ring before shooting. Is that gonna hurt something by leaving it in? I'm gonna take pics right now and put on my profile.

Get'ya a one-piece and never look back. 1" is too low on an AR.

This is my $56 Rock River mount. It works fantastic:

Bushmaster, I didn't see any pictures of your set-up posted. Where are they?

My Rock River mount doesn't have any additional MOA built into it, but didn't need any either. The scope was nearly centered perfectly right from the start. I only needed a couple of clicks down to zero it perfectly. The 20 MOA scope mounts like the one I posted earlier are typically for long range varmiters where some additional angle of elevation is needed.

My particular scope has a longer eye-relief of around 5" that allows me is place it farther forward. It makes it very comfortable to use with a longer eye relief and at the right height that the mount provides.

OK, that's better because your avatar picture looks to be a Barrett .50 not an AR-15.

Holy crap dude!!!!!!! Got enough scope on that thing? For that kind of long range set-up I'd definitely go with a 20 MOA one piece like the Nikon I posted earlier.

Yes, your scope looks like it's too far back, but if you move it forward much it'll overhang the end of the barrel.
