Default Savage Model 340

I have this old savage model 340 bolt action rifle in 30-30. I have looked up the value on it and can't understand why they are so cheap only 175.00. The thing shoots great and while not the best glass in the world it works. Could someone who is wiser in the way please expain to me why these rifles are so under valued as far as I am concernd. Is there somehting that I am missing?

Plain rifle. A shooter, not a collector's gun. same reason that a Mossberg bolt action shotgun goes for about $75, and I have bought High Standard flight King Pump shotguns for under $100. Collectors are chasing Winchesters, Remingtons and other names. They may have fancier wood, a machined trigger guard- but your rifle will still drop a buck where he stands. Yours is a rifle made for the working man- the farmer, the mechanic, the guy with callouses. Solid, reliable, accurate- but not fancy.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.
