Default Savage Model 24

I just got a new Savage 24, .30-30 over 12 gauge. It appears to be the perfect bear-hog-deer gun for thick woods and swamps. Anyone have experience with this?

I don't have any experience with the model 24, but I wish I had.

Main problem is regulating the barrels so they shoot to the same point. They can be pretty far apart.

You'll love that gun!

I'm blessed to have 2, a .22WMR/20 ga. and a .223/12 ga., the first is used for squirrel and rabbits, the second is my Fall turkey gun.

They are a little heavy but their utility is unsurpassed.
