Default Savage Model 111---30.06 SPRG

This is my Savage Bolt action Model 111---30.06 SPRG with Bushnell 3x9x,40 scope. This gun is the best shooting, most accurate rifle I have owned. Took it out of the case two days before modern gun season in 2010 and put the first three shots inside a quarter at 100 yards. Got a 9 point the first day of season at 150 yards. The deer dropped on the spot. 2011_0107new0013.jpg

Cool beans.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”Samuel Adams

Nothing wrong with a Savage. Great rifles, great prices and a nice deer.
Glad to see someone still shoots the ol' 30-06.
Looks like it was a great romp in the woods............
