Default savage model 10 scout

This rifle came up in a trade, but I'm curious if it's any good. A fellow never degrees a Marlin x7 and I'm just curious if the scout is of equal quality, worse or better. What's the moa look like at 500 yards? What's the life expectancy? Hows the ergonomics? If any one has that rifle plz help with info. I would trade a GNU FNS-40 with night sights for this pistol. Is that a decent trade?

Savage 10FCM Scout under law enforcement. It is good quality but it was not designed to be a 500 yard gun. It has irons (peep) and a forward scope rail. More like a patrol car rifle. My grandson has a 10, not the scout, in 223 and it is capable of sub MOA with handloads.

Do you think it's a good trade
