Default Savage Mod. 110

Just ordered a Boyd Prairie Hunter in nutmeg for the 25-06. I just couldn't warm up to the factory stock. Didn't much like the Burris scope it came with, either. So much for package deals.

Boyd's makes some decent stocks. I've put several of them on rifle's that I've built. I don't care for their stock finishes,so I order them unfinished, and do them myself.

Put some decent glass on that rifle, and it should shoot itty bitty groups. My heavy barreled Savage 25-06 shoots consistently with .3"-.6" 5 shot groups with my hand loads.

Have you had any difficulty pulling the blind mag out of the original stock? Seems to be a pretty tight fit.

I bought this rifle in a Boca gun store, owner said it was on the rack for 4 years, and I've had it for 5, never been fired. I just thought it's a perfect match, a 110 in 25-06! I'm holding off till I change out the stock and scope. For now, I have a Pro Staff to stick on it. I've got a terrific old B&L but can't find adjustable mounts for it.
